Nature's Pearl Photo Contest

Danish Forestry Extension (DFE) and Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) jointly announce a photography competition ‘Nature’s Pearl – 2014’ in Denmark and Nepal where both Nepali photographers and DFE members can participate. Nature’s Pearl has been inspired from the ongoing photography competition 'naturperle' in Denmark.

The focus of the competition is on forest and trees. The idea is to raise public awareness about how people use trees and forests in a sustainable way to meet their daily needs and how communities benefit from the forest while at the same time protecting their nature’s pearl.

A winner from Nepal and a winner from Denmark will be selected. The two winning photographs will be featured on the DFE and WCN websites and in the DFE magazine. There will also be a slideshow of the best photographs on the WCN and DFE websites. The winners will receive a gift hamper along with a plaque and certificate.
