Nature's Pearl Winners!

WCN and DFE are pleased to announce the winners of "Nature's Pearl' - 2014 a photography competition on Forest and Trees. Of the many entries submitted, Padmasagar Kakshapati, a well-known photographer, has been able to grab the first place with a picture of a rhino in the forest. Nepal's forests harbor many gems of biodiversity and Kashapati's photo depicts this well. The second place was secured by Sova Maharjan. This picture shows tourist elephant riding in Chitwan National Park, which is a source of income for the local population.  The third place goes to Sunny Thapa. In this picture, we see a women carrying animal fodder, which was collected in the nearby forest. WCN and DFE congratulates all the winners and thank all the photographers from Nepal who participated. This competition was jointly organized by DFE and WCN. DFE will feature the photographs in its bi-monthly magazine that is distributed among 5,000 forest owners in Denmark. WCN will also feature the winners in its publication.
